How to be a Better Director, The Tips and Tricks (Blog# 47)

. Looking at this 15 tips video, it gave helpful tips on how to NOT be a total joke of a director and to not lose one's cool. Looking at it, it would seem that being a director you have to be supportive and the bigger person, don't pick fights and your ideas, sometimes, might not be the best and that's alright, you have a team for a reason, use them and help each other. By being the director, you have a vision and you want to create that vision, let the actors help you create that vision, help your actors out and move people around, be the leader of the team. Being a director, you have to think outside the box, or camera space, use viewfinders to look at your angles to see what the shot would look like. Being a director, you're the coach and people listen to the coach.
Deadlines are actually your best friend if you want to have multiple projects, set deadlines for yourself and just move on from there. And oddly enough, stay hydrate, keep everyone hydrated, we wouldn't want anyone fainting on set.

. These tips in this 5 minute video were helpful and I actually have more of a clear idea of what I need to do when I do my video's. Simply, don't be mean, you're all equals and your not the king of the castle just because you're the director. Other people's ideas and mindsets are not a bad thing for your idea of vision of the film, sometimes, improvised parts in movies are the best and it's true. I like getting ideas from other people since most of the time, mine are corny.
