FAST FACTS
. Many remember those classic cartoons of Popeye or even Bugs Bunny and the impact they held, even up to this day, getting reboot after reboot and even films, still to this day. Many other animated shorts were trashed as time went on and were forgotten as may say that, animated films are easily disposable but cheap animation is a thing anyone would be interested in, no matter what. From films, to short cartoons or web animations, cheap animations have always been around.
To compare Hanna-Barbara to Walt Disney, Disney's plan was to made timeless classics that could last and even with his shorts, they are still memorable and watchable. While on the other hand, Hanna-Barbara had to work on the very edge with his animations in fear of financial troubles. Even with his iconic The Flinstones or The Jetsons, Hanna-Barbara isn't classic but more of a cult status.
Throughout the years, animation has been reduced and even with the decision of bringing cartoons from theaters to the small screen, was because of money and costs. This is why there isn't a whole lot of good content or high quality animation, because of costs and a large want of them, very quickly. This is why many are hoping for those to make animation because it's an art form and not to make it, just to make it.
SLOW RESPONSE
. Seeing exactly how animation is treated, just drops down into the deepest pits of my stomach. Seeing how animation could be easily disposable honestly hurts seeing how an art form could just be mass produced with little to no care about the end product. It's not right to define what are classics and what aren't either, to myself, Hanna-Barbara is one of my favorite animators as I grew up on a lot of his cartoons/older cartoons from a young age. I instantly recognize his style and I know what work he's done. But, budget does not define if an animation is good or not as well.

How to be a Better Director, The Tips and Tricks (Blog# 47)
May You Listen
. Looking at this 15 tips video, it gave helpful tips on how to NOT be a total joke of a director and to not lose one's cool. Looking at it, it would seem that being a director you have to be supportive and the bigger person, don't pick fights and your ideas, sometimes, might not be the best and that's alright, you have a team for a reason, use them and help each other. By being the director, you have a vision and you want to create that vision, let the actors help you create that vision, help your actors out and move people around, be the leader of the team. Being a director, you have to think outside the box, or camera space, use viewfinders to look at your angles to see what the shot would look like. Being a director, you're the coach and people listen to the coach.
Deadlines are actually your best friend if you want to have multiple projects, set deadlines for yourself and just move on from there. And oddly enough, stay hydrate, keep everyone hydrated, we wouldn't want anyone fainting on set.
I Shall Listen
. These tips in this 5 minute video were helpful and I actually have more of a clear idea of what I need to do when I do my video's. Simply, don't be mean, you're all equals and your not the king of the castle just because you're the director. Other people's ideas and mindsets are not a bad thing for your idea of vision of the film, sometimes, improvised parts in movies are the best and it's true. I like getting ideas from other people since most of the time, mine are corny.

Animating with your Face (Blog # 46)
Should it be Done?
. As we all know, back in the day, animation used to be done by doing pencil drawings on cels for hours of end to create fluid animation up until the creation of digital animation and to do it with a click of a mouse. Though, now Adobe has been experimenting with the idea of motion capture animation using a webcam and microphone to create basic animated movements on a 2D character. The new program Adobe Character Animator was put up on Creative Cloud for a preview on the idea of the concept. It's even said that lip syncing would be possible if separate layers are named the different body parts so it would be an automatic thing to do in the program, to make it even more easier on the animator at hand.
Looking at the video at hand, the program gives in depth character animation opinions such as breathing and physics that gives the character more life. As well as connecting the microphone and webcam for action and lip syncing that could easily be done to modify the scale, rotate and depth of the character as well as eyebrows and emotions making it easy to not keyframe each scene.
It Don't Really Know
. The Adobe Character Animator is a good idea to think about, bringing motion capture animation to your laptop, minus the cost of that ridiculous suit with all those motion balls on it. Makes it much easier and less of a joke. The program looks interesting and easy to navigate from what the video showed and how all the programs work with each other, I like that feature like how AE and PR work with each other nicely.
Even with the potential of easy animation, it is still in the works and you could tell. It looks simple and not professional. It seems to be a thing you would play with and not makes serious work. Like how Skype or programs let you move characters with the camera. It's not a new idea. I just think it needs to be polished and why should people animate this way, it's like giving actors our jobs and, we wouldn't want that.

I Relate so Much ( Video # 18)
This is literally me sometimes at conventions, it's kinda funny. This is from one of my favorite animators on Youtube, she does a lot of fandom animations and it's pretty funny.
There is some crude language but, hey, it's funny.
FREAKY BUNNIES (Blog # 45)
ANOTHER WEEK IN THE DUST
Practically this week consisted of work and movie watching which, I really enjoyed for the fact, I've been waiting to watch Donnie Darko ever since I've heard we were gonna watch it. So, I was super glad we did that in class and just, Frank will forever be in my nightmares.
I wanna become a better storyteller with my movies because, my video ideas are all so corny like, really REALLY corny.
Ubcon was this weekend and let's just say, I had a whole lot of fun and Springtrap was a huge hit on Saturday, took a lot of pictures with people and even did the cosplay contest, I didn't win but there were tons of great costumes there! I EVEN GOT TO MEET JOHN PATRICK LOWRIE AND ELLEN MCLAIN AKA SNIPER AND GLADOS
they even gave me advice for when i go to college to study animation on taking acting classes and all that stuff, they were super sweet and amazing.
At the con actually, I scared the living daylight out of this one kid. As soon as he saw me, he screamed his head off and was almost on the verge of tears. I felt so bad and it was the second most awkward moment at the con. I took the head off and everything to try to calm him down. He actually thought I was Purple Guy and that was a moment I wont forget.

Neurocinema (Blog # 44)
A Brain Summary
. Studies show that certain types of movies active and stimulate our brain waves because of certain exciting scenes. People were shown several movies and clips from, for example, The Good the Bad and the Ugly which, surprisingly, all four peoples brain waves were the same are certain moments. The same things were done to three other things are the same thing happened.
Cinema could very well create a brain signal because of moments in the movie or video and some say that even in the distant future, it could be a more hands on experience in the movie.
Why is this cool??
. It find this to be really cool because, it just makes sense for our brains to react to a high level action scene or suspense or even horror. It adds for liveliness to our brains and to think ever one gets a stimulus from the same scenes, really boogles my mind into want to understand neurocinema even more.

Animation is a Career (Blog #43)
Start with Something Big
. Looking int it, being an animator isn't just a job that one sticks to one company for their whole life, it's a life building career that builds upon experience in different ways. Many would think that, by just becoming an animator, you would automatically be brought into Disney or even Dreamworks and work there forever. Not true, it could happen but, it's not gonna happen with everyone. The article talks about how their comes a lot of work into getting where one wants to be and even so, being hired by Disney could mean you're fired in a few months. But, being an animator, you move your job to many clients and companies, where they need your work and talents.
They talked about their own experiences with different companies and how, even if they were fired from Disney, they moved around to different jobs and then, got a second chance with Disney for many popular movies during the Disney Renaissance Era.
Ending with a Bigger Knowledge
. This article truly helped me to understand that, animation is a hard career and well, it IS a career and that, if I want to do this, I gotta take criticism with a grain of salt, I try apply to a different company. It's all trial and error and you have to keep going and not give up because once you do, you're done for. I just found this inspiring as, yeah, I would like to get so good that I'm hired at Disney, anyone would but, it doesn't mean that if I'm not, doesn't mean I'm a failed animator, I'm just needed someplace else.

Popeye=CHILDHOOD (Video #17)
Okay, when I was growing up, I watched a lot of cartoons and one of my favorites happened to be, Popeye the Sailorman. He's always been one of my favorite cartoon characters and Iv'e watched a lot of the cartoons and shorts. So when I found out that, just like the Peanuts being brought to the screen, Popeye was also and looking at this footage. It gave me so much hope and nostalgia. The character models along with the movements of the characters is just like the 2d show and it gives it that feeling of old-timey animation. The quick and eratic movements and the slapstick humor just bring it to life and it's only a minute long and I want more.
I can't wait for this to come out to re-live my childhood memories of sitting in the basement playroom on my old tv and popping a VCR in and watching some Popeye.
Iv'e Been Springtrapped (Blog # 42)
Back once again with a daily blog about my non-life.
We haven't learned anything new but we are working on our Independent projects and I'm doing a pixilization and having things moving in the air so, wish me good luck. Though, myself, I did learn how to make a fursuit head for the cosplay I'm working on.
I do wanna learn how to convey ideas more idealy to an audience since, some of my ideas are coplex and sometimes, people don't get it.
So, UBCon is coming up next week and I can't wait, it's been a while since Iv'e gone to an actual convention and this is one of my favorites. I'm working on a Springtrap costume which, is almost done and wearing that Saturday, along with Kieren Walker on Friday and Ellis on Sunday
Nothing bad has happened to me, luckily but I've been having troubles sleeping lately but, that's mostly my fault.
