FROZEN REVIEW (EXTRA)

Now, Frozen is based intentionally of the the Hans Christian Anderson story dubbed 'The Snow Queen'. The story being adapted to Disney was changed from the original and this worked.

I seen this movie last weekend and it was everything I waited for, it was perfect in every way possible. So I decided to do a review on the movie basing on the story line, the animation, the characters and even to the songs.

NOW I WILL TRY TO BE SPOILER FREE

So let's start off with the story of Frozen

The Story

The story is great as it shows the original Disney sense with a twist of it's own.
It feels like the Disney films from the Renaissance of The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. With having the usual goofy Disney sidekicks of Olaf and Sven, they are in the film enough at the correct moments to lighten the mood. Saying, they are in it enough to not be annoying.

Each part of the movie moves along at a good pace and it keeps you interested with different plot twists and there really is a great one. Trust me, I loved it and it and another really shine in this movie making it stand out from other formal Disney animated films.

The Animation

Yes, yes. It does have some likeness' to Tangled, though in my opinion, I liked this way of animation for this plot a whole lot more, the roundness and full face of the characters especially Anna and Elsa, this style fits perfectly for them. Main-fully Anna, giving her that young and curious complexion.

Scene's such as the castle building in 'Let it Go' and just the background really are a shining star in this film. The background scenes are full with mountains and give you the feeling that, it is Norway. The snow which does take up most of the movie, well, they mastered snow, it looks amazing on screen and how Elsa does her magic. It's magical even just having the snow blowing.

For animals in the film, they nailed that on the head as well, with the wolves and Sven, Kristoff's dog-like reindeer, the fur and movement are flawless.

Differences of characters are good also, between Kristoff and Hans, Kirstoff has a more full face then Hans who has a more, masculine or even so called " better looking" face.

Kristoff having a bigger nose and a fuller face. Then Hans a more thinner one and a more kept looking presence for himself. They are polar opposites.

The Characters

Characters in Frozen show surprises for me as they are some of the most complex Disney characters so far, breaking stereotypes for the typical Disney character.

Starting with Anna, her character is a very eccentric and wondrous character. Her curiosity for the world around her and those also around her display a unique characteristic to a Disney female.

Elsa on the other hand, some look at her and think of a villain though on the real hand. She is far from a villain she, is the what changed my mind about Disney and the cookie cutter. She is the most complex out of all the characters and you'll see why.

Kristoff is my favorite character with his rugged personality and his way of living as an ice harvester. He is a loner as he lives with his friend Sven, who is a reindeer but just not any reindeer to him. He, does have a plot twist as well. He speaks his mind and soon finds himself in the adventure with Anna in the search of her sister Elsa.

Hans is the typical prince charming looking for the hand of a damsel. Even with that, he is a complex character that you will like for certain reasons. I actually adore Hans for his care and personality.

Here's Olaf that "annoying" snowman sidekick from the trailers. Now, I know what you're thinking. Though you are wrong. Olaf is a really good character and is actually funny with some deadpan humor. He adds that bit of light-hearted sense for this movie.

The Songs

The songs mostly being in the first half of the movie was the only thing I noticed that I didn't like as I wished there were more songs, they leave a huge impact of the audience and they represent the characters perfectly, giving character development in the process. Example being 'Let it Go' sung by Elsa and I know, this is gonna be up there with Colors of the Wind and others.

'Do You Wanna Build A Snowman?' is also a good one, being the first one in the movie, it starts off the film in a good way. Having a good start is key.

So overall, this movie is flawless and I highly recommend seeing this movie.

One of my favorites now and same to other's.

Go see Frozen, please.

Now I shall go and starting thinking up idea's on a nice Kristoff cosplay
