Trois Petit Chats ( Video # 17)

So guys, you seriously need to watch this. In a way, I reflect some of my ideas and ways of doing animation, to the degree of this video.

Trois Petit Chats is stupendous with it's storyline and with the minimal to almost non- speech in the video. The animation on the characters and the backgrounds move the story along and the color palette is also very great.
This type of animation, is what I want from myself.

Literally cried,  when I watch this the first time and even the second and third.

I highly recommend this to anyone and this is my video for the week.

Hook, Line and Sinker (Blog # 40)

Films are an essential part of entertainment in the world, next to stage shows and television. With all of these, you have to engage your audience with a great beginning. Pull them in.

Take These Notes

. Know what you're doing, as in know your target audience.
Horror?
Sci-fi?
Get that across in your own way and make it engaging to those fans and they will stay to see what happens.

. Create an atmosphere with curious plots to grab the viewers and make them think. By having an exciting story plot with mystery, the viewers want to stay and find out what will happen and if their speculations are true.

. Another good addition to an exciting story, is connect to the audience with emotions. Know their emotions and grab them and hold them tight as you give a heart aching storyline.

Thee Opinion

. Me, for a hook, line and sinker effect. I get creative as I try to make a new experience in a world or completely new ideas. (Referencing my 2D animation)

. Also, you do need to know the audience as in, what is the majority into. AND STAY WITH THAT. Don't go from a horror setting and then in the middle turn into The Care Bears. It's weird...

Question After Question

. What is your way of hooking in the audience?

EVERYTHING IS AWESOME (Blog #39)

So, for one of the articles, it was about the new lego movie and I was ecstatic because I saw it. Being able to get out of the house and all. So, this will be really fun to write because this movie is an animators dream in my opinion.

Building to the Top

. So, with The Lego Movie, a main aspect that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller wanted to show was the look of the actual characters. They needed to look like they are used. Nothing was perfect and there had to be bumps and scratches on them, because lego's are used!
From watching the movie, this attribute of a used toy look was spot on and it wasn't over the top. The subtle detail of grooves and scratches in the characters was shown really nice in certain areas of lighting. Thumbs up from me.

. Our second main character, Wyldstyle is a punkish girl character that is an opposite to the main character Emmet. Many different variations and ideas for her design were made until the final version of a female with streaks of color in her hair was made and this worked. (And for some reasons I can't tell you)

. Finally, we learned that this movie was mostly done in 3D animation and you could tell but also, some of it was done in stop motion and it's really funny because they had homages to those cheap lego stop motion YouTube videos in the movie. They were brilliant.

Brick by Brick

. This is an outstanding movie with the jokes and obviously the animation but, the story also works!
for a "simple kids movie" it's much more than that to me and this will be one of my favorites.

. The attribute of a used toy, especially a lego was done really well like I said above also

IS EVERYTHING AWESOME?

. What is your opinion of The Lego Movie??

I'm (Not) Dead (Blog # 38)

Hey guys, surprisingly. I'm not dead.
This week was the weirdest, ever. With my schools bomb threat and me being sick the whole week, Iv'e missed so much and haven't been in class (which sucks)

As of now, I'm so much better and whatever I had is gone (totally not a zombie here, Chris Redfield doesn't have to kill me now....or Ada Wong)

I really didn't learn anything this week other than I'm able to finish off 2 boxes of tissues a day. wooo hooo

I want to learn how to be immune to every disease and become an overlord.

Something happy, huh??
Well, for the time being I was able to finish coloring in my Newt tattoo's and thanks to Ms. Licata, I got all my notes and tutorials. Which, thank you again!

Now, something bad.
Oh, I don't know. Maybe
GETTING SICK.

I can't wait to come back to class.

Has Animation Gone too Far?? ( Video # 16)

So for this week, I bring you an abomination to nature itself.
Though, for real. This has to be the most wicked thing I have seen and it's scary and fascinating at the same time.
Animation has gone so far, and this video displays that and you need to see this.
REALLY.
LIKE.
WATCH IT.

Introverts, Introverts, Introverts (Blog # 37)

Get Your Information Here

. One-Third of the world is actually introverted and that's pretty understand to see. While making a movie, you need to have these type of people to make things more realistic. Interactions between different types of people is a normal thing we all do everyday so, why not do this in movies, everyone is different.

. It's hard to write an introvert also, with their character and personality as a person not comfortable with groups. While writing one, usually writers push this to a higher degree.

. Introverts lack stamina of other characters which could solve problems for any filmmaker. No flapping arms and random events happening with them.

LISTEN, LISTEN

. We need better introverts, seriously. In movies, they are so overly written, its creepy.

. Though, they do make things easier for filmmaking for anyone. They literally could just sit there if they wanted (even if it just, isn't accurate)

?

. Opinion on this?

Fun Times with Friends (Blog # 36)

So, this week has been busy, hectic and just down right tiresome for me. Mixing school and BOCES work and a whole lot of damn things due on the same days, just murder me already, though I turned them in on time (thank god) I also finished my anibot project on time which is a huge plus and I am happy of it, I think I did okay enough, heh.

Again, I really want to learn how to make realistic character models and to be able to move them for an animation. Though, right at the moment, hair is a major issue for me now, with my character model and all.

Some good did come out of this week as I am right now typing this from my friend Zack's house and literally I just got up about 20 minutes ago, blah. All these shenanigans with Soul Calibur and any game we can find.

Now for the ugly, sleep. My sleeping pattern is so out of whack it's funny. That and school, the people at my school are the worst and most annoying people ever ( I would say something else, but that's not right)

So, bring on the next weeks and that 3D Short

I'm Runnin' Circles Around My Feels ( Video # 15)

So, this is a different video and it's actually one of my favorite video's.
The song with the drawn pictures fit perfectly with each other so, I hope you like it and even if it is TF2, it's so good.
